I have downloaded the new realese of SQL Server Reporting Services
(the real release, not the Beta 2) and gets the following error
whenever I try to build, deploy or preview a report. I even got it
when I try to shut down the Microsoft .Net IDE. Does anyone have a
clue?
I have used the beta 2 for a while now, without problem and I have
tried both to upgrade the beta 2 to this release and to uninstall the
beta 2 and install the new release from scratch with the same result.
Here is the error message I've got:
"Method not found: Void
Microsoft.DataWarehouse.Interfaces.MenuCommandEx.set_Input(System.Object[])"
Because I didn't find any group dedicated to Reporting Services I post
this message in a couple of more or less closely related groups. I
hope nobody minds.
Regards,
/Mattias TorngrenMat,
Please let me know if you get a resolution to this. I am getting the same er
ror.

microsoft.public.sqlserver.reportingsvcs. Post there as it is being actively
monitored.

re on the MSDN Newsgroup on the left nav bar for all the MSDN newsgroups
Venky|||Since it's a public newsgroup, it's hosted on the msnews.microsoft.com nntp
server .
I don't think there is a MSDN "managed" newsgroup as of yet.

Microsoft.DataWarehouse.Interfaces.DLL in the gac. (Try the gacutil

microsoft.com site folks to get it listed out on
http://communities2.microsoft.com/c...s/default.aspx,
English/United States/Servers/SQL Server as that apparently got overlooked.
I've also started the conversation with technet and MSDN to see if we can
get it listed out on their sites.

a beta installed than it's important to delete everything that has
with the reporting services to do before installing the new release,
otherwise you can get this problem.
The solution is to add an assembly to the gac like this:
"Add the file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\80\Tools\ReportDesigner\Microsoft
.DataWarehouse.Interfaces.DLL"
to the GAC"
"You can do this from Start>Programs>Administrative Tools>Microsoft
.Net Framework 1.1 Configuration. Click on Assembly Cache and choose
Add an Assembly to the Cache"
